It all started 18 years ago in a 400 square foot photography studio in North Boulder, Colorado. During my participation in the Boulder Open Studios event, visitors commented on how they appreciated my eye and composition. However many had no wall space left in their homes for wall art. It was then I thought, everyone has a window without a view and the idea of creating a photographic alternative to stained glass was born. After a decade of field-testing UV scientific glass and different laser transfer processes I developed a very durable product I coined Solarography®. This product is designed to hang in windows backlit and illuminated by the sun.
Now, 8 years later, we have fabricated thousands of Solarography® art pieces in several different designs for clients all around the globe. Our current fabrications include pieces from 7 foot by 3 foot full window panels to 4 inch by 4 inch collectable Solargrams from Insatgram files. We also offer designer frame table mount designs and functional night lights.
